Originally a canonry of the Augustine Canons at the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary (today the Church of St. Wenceslas). The monastery was rebuilt at the start of the 16th century as a Renaissance chateau, and later renovated in the baroque style.
The chateau today houses the Lanškroun Museum.
