The original construction was burnt out in the second half of the13th century.
In 1360 Petr Parkléř began reconstruction which was completed in 1401 by stone-mason Myrklaus. In 1881 J. Mocker worked out plans for a restoration of the cathedral. The construction was repairing by restorer L. Lábler until 1884.
